The Best Way to Design Your Own Beats

When I sit down and try to make my own beats, it is usually a process that involves several blunts, and a lot of hard work. Now, before I discovered Dubturbo, the task of creating a beat was arduous, because the only software I could obtain was Audacity. Don't get me wrong, I love Audacity, but to create your own beats, it is extremely limited. After searching around for an alternative, I only encountered more struggles because of free trials, fake torrents, etc. It wasn't until I came across the Dubturbo website that I finally had a quality program for my beat-making. Just as a background, I have worked with artists and producers both in 2012, and spanning all the way back to late 2009. More recently though, I was able to team up with artist Ayo Driver and Producer Joe Milly, and with this first-hand perspective of the music industry, it is NOT all about who has the most money to spend. In the words of Baggs Baby, "If the beat is hot, it WILL get placed." To prove this theory, I will embed a Jadakiss/Joe Milly track, "Without You." Knowing the producer of this track personally, I was able to see some of the tricks of the trade that went into this instrumental. In all seriousness, Joe Milly used Dubturbo to put the beat together, but once he laid down the groundwork, his job was pretty much finished. The technical computer wizards then took the beat, and make alterations that the Big Dog asked for. The key if you want to make your own beats is to keep producing, even if you make 15 crappy beats, all it takes is 1 good track to impress the right person. Hard work and belief in what you're doing will always yield results, but a large part of this is putting yourself in a position to succeed. Crappy programs like Audacity or GarageBand do not allow you to make high quality beats, just video-game sounding dummy beats. I highly suggest you follow the path of the Young Dog, Joe Milly, and Ayo Driver, if you truly want to design your own beats the right way. How to Customize Your Own Beats

The hip-hop production industry has taken a major step in becoming one of the major markets in the U.S. today. If you can create your own beats, you can certainly customize them, but the problem that many current producers experience is a lack of quality software to make a beat. Once I discovered how to make my own beat, rather than swiping them off of Youtube, my horizons expanded creatively, and I began to work with an up and coming artist known as Ayo Driver. One of the first things I said to him was "ayo Driver, why don't you design your own beats?" He explained that rather than hiring a producer and spending top-dollar for beats, he had his boy Joe Milly create beats for him. Now, in case you need proof that these guys are legit, I'll attach a song off of Jadakiss' latest mixtape, Consignment. This song, "Without You," was produced by Joe Milly, and it is just one of the several official tracks he has in circulation. Now, by no means am I saying that you can come into alignment with Jadakiss, I am just showing you the software that he creates his own beats with, and that software is Dubturbo. If you want to have any success when you make your own beats, I highly recommend this program. This is coming from someone who works with producers and rappers, so if you want to step up your beat game, then The Young Dog's recommendation is for you.
